HOPE XCR PRO X2 REAR BRAKE The new HOPE XCR PRO X2 is an ultra-light brake for cross-country, marathon and trail riding. It is based on the X2 caliper and the lever is made of carbon, thus reducing weight without sacrificing performance, and it rotates on new bushings that reduce friction.The master cylinder is integrated into the brake body and positions the lever pivot away from the handlebar: this type of configuration makes it possible to have a large hydraulic reservoir for easy and quick bleeding.The brake body is CNC-machined and anodized and the new clamp design allows the brake to be easily installed on the bike.The brake has an integrated direct mount for Shimano I-Spec shifters and the lever is adjusted with a 2 mm Allen key.The brake uses the X2 caliper but uses lighter pads with an aluminum backing plate, a lower profile and a lighter hose connector. HOPE UNION TC TRAIL PEDALS The HOPE UNION TC TRAIL PEDALS are designed for cross-country and have a dual mechanism that allows easy pedal engagement, a secure cleat hold, and a positive and consistent release.The double clip mechanism means that the front clip moves upon pedal entry, reduces the effort required to clip in, flattens the shoe’s entry angle, and gives a wider cleat entry angle, allowing the front of the shoe sole to get closer to the pedal body for increased stability. Cleat release is guided by fixed pins for an easier and more consistent release.The mechanism mounted by Hope uses a specific cleat that is not compatible with all other systems. The pedals are sold with 2 cleat options: cleat number 4 offers 4° of float and has a 12° release angle, while cleat number 5 offers 5° of float and has a 13° release angle and requires more release force for aggressive riding. Both cleats also allow 2 mm of lateral float (side to side).The pedal body is CNC machined from solid and is designed to maximize contact between shoe/cleat and pedal body for greater stability and power transfer.The platform of these pedals is larger and has 4 pins per side for greater contact with the shoe sole, more stability, and even more aggressive riding. HOPE FIXED DISC The Hope fixed disc, also called monoblocco, features a serrated Saw profile and is made from a unico piece of steel and therefore, unlike the spider, the braking track is not free to move. The use of a fixed disc allows high-level performance but if it is subjected to uno prolonged effort and therefore to excessive overheating, the surface has no possibility to expand and is non able to dissipate the heat produced.
