Chains

The chain is a fundamental component of the bicycle and is responsible for transmitting the force exerted by pedaling through the bottom bracket axle to the rear wheel. In modern bicycles, the pedal axle can be composed of several chainrings and the rear wheel composed of several sprockets, allowing the rider to change pedaling cadence via the transmission system or the gear shifter. The bicycle chain is a component highly exposed to various atmospheric agents and therefore requires regular maintenance and cleaning.
