The SPECIALIZED ROVAL RAPIDE 31.8X400 100MM handlebar, which is both light and aerodynamic, is perfect for reaching the finish line quickly.The handlebar was developed in collaboration with the best athletes from the Specialized team and the Retül Fit team and is aerodynamic, light and stiff - the perfect mix for grabbing victory.
The lack of connecting parts between the handlebar and stem allows for a wing profile. An improvement of 4 watts may seem small, but it results in a 32 cm advantage on a final 250 m sprint. When races are won by launching the bike, this is a winning difference.
Without the connecting parts between handlebar and stem the Cockpit Rapide is 50 g lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) than the combination of Rapide handlebar and Tarmac stem. The handlebar is made of premium high-modulus carbon fibre, which offers the ideal stiffness for the biggest and fastest World Tour sprinters and has a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than any two-piece system ever made by Specialized.
The 15 different stem and handlebar combinations, all at -6 degrees, allow you to cover most racing positions. The radius from top to drop has been sculpted for freedom of wrist movement both while pedalling out of the saddle and in an aerodynamic position.
