Fidlock founder Joachim Fiedler was traveling around the world to perform concerts with his cello when he came up with the idea of ​​the first Fidlock closure. The carrying system of the cello case was impractical so, during his tour, he made the first mechanical magnetic fixing device for the support and fixing of devices.

Subsequently, the innovative Fidlock closure technology was also applied to cycling helmets, jackets, shoes and belts and to many articles that can be used both in daily life and in sport. Fidlock locking systems offer additional security and can be opened with one hand, even when wearing gloves.

Fidlock fastening systems combine the advantages of magnetic elements with a mechanical snap functionality and are extremely robust, reliable and safe. This is thanks to the use of neodymium magnets combined with a robust mechanical snap closure device.

The opening / closing procedures work according to a different principle: the supports can be opened through a rotation, sliding sideways, pushing or pulling and everything can be done with one hand.
