Avid is a brand of the American company SRAM, specialised in the production of bicycle components.

Avid is engaged in the production of hydraulic disc brakes. It was acquired in the spring of 2004, one year after the acquisition of RockShox, and has helped SRAM to compete internationally in the components market.
