Campagnolo

Campagnolo is a brand specialised in components for road and gravel cycling, founded more than eighty years ago by the athlete and innovator Tullio Campagnolo. From the early years, the drive for innovation was strong and Tullio sought ever more avant-garde solutions for his products.

In the 1930s the company produced the first example of a quick release for the wheels, and then the first examples of stick shifting and the first pre-assembled wheels. Between the 1940s and 1950s other components were produced, and Campagnolo worked on what would become the modern rear derailleur and drivetrains.

The sixties marked a turning point for the company, which became an important reference point in the components market. Its rear derailleurs were used by cyclists on international circuits and Campagnolo began to export all over the world.

In the seventies the type of components produced by the company increased even more. In 2007 Campagnolo further developed its components, which were upgraded to 10 speeds, while the Record (used by Pantani in the late nineties) and Chorus groupsets were upgraded to 11 speeds. In 2009 a new 11-speed groupset, the Super Record, was created.

Today Campagnolo is an established and world-renowned brand. It produces electronic groupsets, rims and wheels of all ranges, always with the aim of offering athletes high performance and top quality products, thanks to continuous research and attention to design that sets them apart.
