SPECIALIZED AMBUSH MIPS HELMET

When you are engaged in a difficult descent, the last thing you want to worry about is whether the helmet will protect you sufficiently. On the other hand, it is unthinkable to wear a full-face helmet during all outings on the trail.

Together with the creators of MIPS we have created MIPS SL - a new, ultra-light and extremely comfortable version of the MIPS concept, currently exclusive to Specialized helmets. MIPS SL basically integrates MIPS technology into the padding of the helmet itself. The minimalist fixing system provides 10 to 15 mm rotation in each direction, thus offering the same protective advantages as other MIPS systems, and at the same time it is very light and comfortable.

The wide coverage of the Ambush is made of EPS foam material with different densities and optimized to manage the impacts, internally reinforced by a spider web (Matrix) in Aramid. Even with this increased protection, the profile is thin and comfortable. The Mindset 360 Fit positioning system has five height positions, while the integrated register allows a fine adjustment 'on the fly'. The Ambush with our "4th Dimension Cooling" is also very ventilated thanks to the large air intakes and vents, to avoid heat stroke on the hottest days. The visor with micro-adjustment provides housing for the dh type mask.
