Amflow: The Story of the Next-Gen e‑MTB Brand

Origins and Strategic Partnership

Amflow was founded in 2023 as a new division of DJI Avinox, a spin-off from the world-renowned Chinese drone giant DJI, already acclaimed for its expertise in motors and battery systems.

The goal is ambitious: to bring the experience gained in aerial technology into the e‑MTB world, aiming for products that combine lightness, range, and high performance.

The Debut: Amflow PL & PL Carbon

The first bike introduced was the Amflow PL Carbon, unveiled at Eurobike 2024. It is a full-power e‑MTB with an ultra-lightweight carbon fiber frame (about 19.2 kg) and an integrated Avinox motor.

The Avinox motor delivers 105 Nm of nominal torque, with peaks up to 120 Nm and a power output of 850–1,000 W, all in just 2.52 kg. The internal battery, available in 600 or 800 Wh versions, can charge from 0 to 75% in just 1.5 hours using a 12A/508W GaN charger.

Its "all-mountain/enduro" geometry features 160 mm of front travel and 150 mm rear, completed by premium components such as Fox suspension and mechanical or electronic transmissions (SRAM GX or X0 AXS in the PL Carbon Pro version).

Exclusive Technologies

• Avinox Motor: compact, quiet (polymer gear materials), advanced control algorithms with Auto, Boost, Walk‑assist, Hill‑start, and Auto‑hold modes.
• Integrated Connectivity: a 2" OLED display embedded in the frame, LTE/Bluetooth connectivity, and the Avinox app for customizing power, torque, assistance modes, anti-theft alarm, and geolocation.
• Versatile Frame: flip-chip system allows for 29" or 27.5" wheel setups without altering the geometry. Frame weight: only 2.27 kg.
• Certified Reliability: stress-tested frame, waterproofing, transport durability, and certifications from TÜV SÜD, UL, and TÜV Rheinland.

Early field tests (e.g., from MBR, Velomotion) praise the bike’s performance and lightness.
