REAR WHEEL DT SWISS GRC 1400 DICUT 30 DISC 12/142

A record-breaking off-road experience

In the split second when you leave the tarmac behind and your arms brace for the transition to a rocky and lively terrain—the GRC 1400 DICUT is ready to take on the vibrations and obstacles of a gravel route. So you can leave not only the road behind, but also your shadow and your inhibitions! Two distinct rim heights: take advantage of outstanding reliability and ride carefree over sparkling champagne-like gravel or tackle rough, uncharted trails with confidence. The 50 mm aerodynamic optimization is ideal for KOM/QOM hunting or beating your friends on your favorite gravel segment. The 30 mm rim height offers reduced steering torque for the agility you need on long adventures, freeing you from any limitations. Both rims come straight from the mold thanks to a new patented manufacturing process that eliminates the need for a finishing coat, making your wheelset lightweight yet durable—while helping you stand out. With the ideal performance-to-weight ratio of the 240 DICUT hub and durable DT aero comp II spokes, the new GRC 1400 DICUT wheels are eager to leave the road. Now it’s up to you: are you in the hunt, or out of the game?

New carbon rim mold

The new mold design eliminates the need for a finishing coat, saving weight and providing a stunning finish.

Spokes

DT aero comp II T-head spokes ensure a perfectly balanced ratio of stiffness, aerodynamics, and durability.

Hub

Enjoy direct power transfer in any riding situation with the 240 DICUT and Ratchet EXP technology.

Technologies

Ratchet EXP

DT Swiss hubs are known for their no-tool system. We’ve refined this system further, simplifying maintenance thanks to a small adjustment of the bushings. Less weight: more than just optimized reliability. The integration of the ratchet ring and the threaded ring into a single piece reduces component count significantly. Less wear: a single cylindrical spring ensures quicker full engagement, enhancing reliability. Full engagement of the ratchets increases the contact surface and reduces pressure loads—leading to improved durability. Integrating the bearing into the threaded ring maximizes bearing spacing, improving axle support and reducing deflection—ultimately increasing bearing life and protection.

Aero+

The perfect blend of drag reduction, handling, and efficiency. The AERO+ concept optimizes each parameter with one goal: go faster! Translational drag is the aerodynamic force that slows the rider in the direction of motion. This drag depends on the frontal surface area of the rider (75%) and the bike/components (25%)—as well as speed. To minimize translational drag, the combined cyclist-bike profile must be as aerodynamic as possible. Above 15 km/h, aerodynamic drag is the greatest resistance a cyclist must overcome. The front wheel plays a critical role, accounting for 8% of total drag.

Tubeless technology

All DT Swiss wheels are tubeless compatible, and ASM versions are tubeless-ready, including tape and valves. Tubeless tires offer several advantages over the traditional tube-and-tire combo: they can be inflated to lower pressures without risking pinch flats ("snake bite" punctures), offering better grip. Lower pressures increase riding comfort, and eliminating the tube reduces rolling resistance over terrain and obstacles. Tubeless sealant allows the tire to self-seal punctures and small cuts—ideal for those who ride far and don’t want to get stuck miles from the nearest repair point.

Spoke technology

High-quality spoke manufacturing marked the company’s beginning. DT was synonymous with high-quality Swiss spokes even before DT Swiss AG was officially founded. Today, DT Swiss spokes stand for durability and precision, and their proprietary production process delivers an unmatched combination of lightness and stability.

New carbon rim molding technology

An innovative, industry-unique carbon rim production method and non-destructive layer-by-layer inspection ensure lightweight but strong rims for long-lasting performance. Traditionally, carbon rims are built by joining separate parts, which may create inconsistencies. Our new process creates a highly impact-resistant rim with continuous fiber layers in high-stress zones. This results in a more cohesive structure and minimized imperfections.
