The ENVE WS G27 650B WHEELS are the gravel specialists, they are perfect for bikepacking and singletrack adventures. The G27 is the big sister to the G23, it is lighter in diameter and is designed to be paired with wider tires to tackle rough and uneven terrain.
The wheel weighs just 320g and is Enve's lightest tubeless rim. It is 27mm wide and is designed for 27.5 or 650b tires.
Those who want to get on a bike with racing folds to challenge the technical terrain usually frequented by mountain bikes will benefit greatly from the increased air volume, resistance and puncture-proof performance of the G27.
Increased volume and decreased pressure require the strength and puncture resistance of an MTB, while long days and long miles demand the lightness and efficiency of a road bike. In addition, the combination of strength and stiffness requires a wheel with enough ride quality to make multi-day rides possible and long distances enjoyable.
With an inner rim width of 27mm, the G27 is designed to be paired with gravel and road plus 650b treads from 42mm-60mm and 27.5 XC treads with 1.9″-2.25″ sections. These lightweight, flexible casing tires provide ample control and traction, ideal for most gravel adventures, but don't offer much in the way of pinch puncture protection.
The G27 uses hookless wide bead anti-puncture technology, which provides a wider surface area on the off-road and protects the tire from punctures and pinch marks.
