EFFETTO MARIPOSA CAFFELATEX S TUBELESS TAPE

Replaced by the normal para-nipples tape, Caffélatex Tubeless Tape fits perfectly to the rim profile and covers the valve holes, sealing them. Together with Caffélatex sealant, it allows the use of Tubeless and Tubeless-Ready tyres on most standard mtb wheels.

• "S" for rims with external section between 20 and 24 mm;
• "M" for rims with external section between 25 and 29 mm;
• "L" for wheels with outside section between 30 and 34 mm.

EFFETTO MARIPOSA CAFFELATEX S TUBELESS TAPE TIPS FOR USE:

before gluing the Caffélatex Tubeless Tape inside the rim, carefully clean the bottom of the rim to remove any trace of grease or lubricant (use alcohol or other degreaser, then - VERY IMPORTANT - wipe with a clean, dry cloth. The adhesion on the dry residue of the alcohol is not good);
use one layer for off-road applications (pressures up to 4 bar) and two for road applications (up to 8 bar pressure);

MOUNT THE TAPE:
start 2 cm before the valve hole to apply the tape. Caffélatex Tubeless Tape is flexible but not extendable, so it adapts to surfaces but does not change width and length when pulled. This is an added value as a deformable tape seems initially easier to apply, but over time it tends to return to its original size, breaking the adhesive bond;
keep the Caffélatex Tubeless Tape tape taut during the application and make it adhere FIRST THAT way to the centre of the rim channel, taking care not to have bubbles or creases. Continue on the entire circumference, always concentrating on the centre of the rim channel, until the valve hole is 2 cm higher (this will result in an overlap of 4 cm between the valve hole). If possible, do not touch the end of the tape with your fingers in order to have maximum adhesive power on the most exposed segment;
only later, with a clean cloth, push the tape in contact with the circle on the sides of the channel, proceeding along the entire circumference. This guarantees perfect application;
use a tip or a screwdriver to drill a round hole in the Caffélatex Tubeless Tape at the valve hole. Avoid the use of a cutter by making an "X" cut, which would prevent the correct air seal at the base of the valve.
