Bike Citizens is a young and dynamic company with the aim of sharing knowledge about cycling in urban areas. It was founded in 2011 in Graz, Austria, by Daniel Kofler and Andreas Stückl, and within a few years has opened another office in Berlin.
The brand focuses on both the production of cycling-related accessories and online platforms for urban cyclists, such as offline navigation, routing, tracking and city tours. Its mission is to improve the quality of life in urban environments, enabling its inhabitants to enjoy better organisation through a growing cycling culture. In addition to promotion, the company focuses on app development: in 2017, Bike Citizens developed new digital services, such as Bike Citizens Analytics, designed to analyse GPC cycling data; PING if you care!, which helps municipalities get more in touch with their inhabitants; and many other innovations.
With Bike Citizens it is now possible to approach one's own routes with a new perspective. Thanks to the BikeCityGuide App, it is possible to share and learn about cycle routes from other users, discover planned tours or create your own.
The company has also developed the Finn smartphone holder. Made of silicone, it is suitable for all types of smartphones, quickly attaching phones to any handlebar.
