AVS is a French brand, founded in 2016 by the former speed world champion Arnaud Vincent, which deals with the production of hand guards designed to protect your hands from the stones raised by the wheel of the forerunner and from the branches protruding on the paths. The hands are among the parts most exposed to blows and, if you pedal on paths where the vegetation is thick, full of brambles and thorns, it is really easy to scratch. Another function of the hand guard is to prevent your fingers from hitting hard obstacles.
The protection is applied to the handlebar by means of a collar to be placed near the knob.
Thanks to Vincent's experience and collaboration with top riders, these new protections (especially useful in trail and enduro), protect your hands from thorns and prevent branches and vegetation from becoming entangled in the brake levers.
