This means you get all the aerodynamic benefits of the 454 NSW Tubeless Disc Brake Wheelset with the added advantage of increased cornering grip and compliance with reduced rolling resistance. The 19mm internal width of the wheels is optimized to make wider tubeless tires work with lower tire pressure. The undulating shape of the 53/58mm deep rim of the 454 NSW, our patented Sawtooth ™ profile, takes design cues from nature for our most efficient wheel when it comes to aerodynamic efficiency and crosswind stability. The swift and graceful movements of a humpback whale are aided by tubercles on its pectoral fins. These structures have inspired Zipp's Advanced Development engineers, for the first time, to systematically apply biomimicry to solve the complex challenge of wheel design, with undulating Hyperfoil ™ nodes that reduce both aerodynamic drag and lateral force.
