The Tarmac Sport features the SL7 frame and is equipped with the 12-speed mechanical Shimano 105 groupset—a lightweight all-rounder at a reasonable price.

KEY FEATURES OF THE SPECIALIZED TARMAC SL7 SPORT:

• Aerodynamics played a key role in the development of the Tarmac and all of our race bikes. But weight is also a crucial factor. Traditionally, aero bikes have always compromised on weight—the lower the drag, the higher the weight. With the Tarmac, our design philosophy was to keep it under or close to the UCI weight limit right from the start, without sacrificing aerodynamics. Thanks to the FreeFoil Shape Library, isotropic FEA analysis, and a bit of engineering magic, we created a FACT 9r frame that weighs just 1010 grams, without compromising aero, stiffness, or ride quality.
• To build the best race bike possible, we used our Rider-First Engineered™ technology to ensure balanced handling and performance in every frame size. Based on feedback from our pro teams—SD Worx, Soudal Quick-Step, and Red Bull - Bora-hansgrohe—after thousands of kilometers on the road, we made updates to the Tarmac. There's now a new balance in ride quality between the front and rear triangles, making even the longest days in the saddle more comfortable, without sacrificing the legendary handling and responsiveness of the Tarmac.
• In developing the Tarmac, we also created a clean and integrated cockpit. Cable routing is compatible with any setup—including mechanical drivetrains, traditional stems, and round handlebars—while preserving aerodynamic efficiency.
