SPECIALIZED S-WORKS RECON SHOES

The brand new SPECIALIZED S-WORKS RECON SHOE introduces the performance offered by road shoes to the world of offroad. Thanks to over 100,000 foot scans extrapolated from RETÜL. data, a wider carbon sole was introduced to better fit all human foot shapes. An internal I-Beam adds rigidity and strength, avoiding additional reinforcements. The result is a shoe with a comfortable fit, adjustable and stiff enough to unload all the power on the pedals.
The inside and outside of the shoe are made according to Body Geometry criteria: thanks to 20 years of study and development this shoe has no weak points, only high performance when pedalling. Thanks to the varus thickness, the longitudinal arch and the metatarsal button, the foot remains in the correct position while pedalling and is always aligned with the knees and hips.

SPECIALIZED S-WORKS RECON SHOES MAIN FEATURES:

• The high-density base and new shims allow the pedal contact to be adjusted for maximum efficiency and road pedalling.
• Body Geometry technology with varus support, longitudinal arch and metatarsal button.
• Asymmetrical heel counter supports the medial side and allows the removal of material from the lateral area, enabling a lower collar.
• The use of an internal I-Beam adds rigidity and strength, eliminating the need for additional reinforcement and allowing the shoe to remain extremely lightweight.
• Zoned reinforcement on the quarter and forefoot maximises support, while the new BOA® transition improves lockdown, eliminating the need for a toe closure.
• Additional shims of 3 mm, 6 mm and 9 mm are available as replacements to compensate for leg length and cleat length.
• For a wider fit - the new sole is 4 mm wider than the standard width (8 mm wider than the previous S-Works Recon shoes).
• Approximate weight 280g for a size 42 shoe.
