SPECIALIZED SWORKS PREVAIL II MIPS ANGY HELMET

When the time came to renew S-Works Prevail, we knew it wasn't going to be an easy feat. Prevail was the industry standard in terms of fit, ventilation and comfort. How to do? The answer was: 'let's listen to the cyclists'. Thanks to them, we realized that some aspects of the Prevail could be improved, in particular there was the demand for a more compact design.

In addition, the new ANGi sensor will make you feel comfortable - if combined with the Android or iOS App, the sensor detects any falls and sends an SMS to the contacts you have selected on your phone. The sensor synchronizes with the App and STRAVA® to provide a track of activity based on GPS.

Together with the creators of MIPS we have created MIPS SL - a new, ultra-light and extremely comfortable version of the MIPS concept, currently exclusive to Specialized helmets. MIPS SL basically integrates MIPS technology into the padding of the helmet itself. The minimalist fixing system provides 10 to 15 mm rotation in each direction, thus offering the same protective advantages as other MIPS systems, and at the same time it is very light and comfortable.

We have re-designed the construction in EPS with different densities, supported by an internal structure in Aramid to reduce the overall weight, making the profile slimmer with a lower fit on the head for greater comfort and safety.

The deep internal grooves are aligned from the front to the rear, so that the air flow passes from the vents to the vents, providing excellent cooling of the head. Wind tunnel tests showed a saving of six seconds over a distance of 40km compared to a standard road helmet. The Gutter Action system manages sweat, preventing it from getting into the eyes.

The S-Works Prevail II is a very light helmet for competitive use, perfect for long outings under the sun in the mountains, as well as for demanding challenges against the wind on the plains.
