GENIE—The Magic Carpet Ride: The biggest innovation on the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy is GENIE. This proprietary air spring technology delivers on every rider’s three wishes: the feel and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out resistance than a standard air spring, and a tunable platform for a playful feel. THE "GENIE": GENIE combines the linear feel of a coil spring for improved control through the “impact zone” with a progressive air spring curve at the end of the stroke to prevent bottom-out. It truly offers the best of both worlds—coil and air—with extra tunability. Say goodbye to compromises and welcome the future of suspension.

WHAT IMPACT?: With 16.3% better impact force management compared to a traditional air shock, GENIE allows the Stumpy 15 to perform like a longer travel bike. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy (with 145 mm rear wheel travel) and our Enduro (170 mm travel) both use 101 mm of stroke to absorb a 1080 N impact force.

TRACTION GALORE: Extensive field testing shows that the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy with GENIE offers 57% better traction than a standard air shock. That’s because the GENIE tech provides supple, coil-like performance, keeping the rear wheel in contact with the ground for more of the ride than a typical air spring.

GOODBYE BOTTOM-OUT: 39% fewer bottom-out events than a standard air spring. During big hits, you'll benefit from the progressive curve in the last 30% of the GENIE stroke. Thanks to its dual-phase behavior, GENIE reduces both the frequency and severity of bottom-out events.

REFINED GEOMETRY: This bike’s geometry delivers high capability when you need it, agility in tight sections, and climbing efficiency. The spacious cockpit keeps you centered on the bike, optimizing traction and corner control.
