• VIBRATION ABSORPTION: The Future Shock 3.0 cartridge is the new star in the firmament, more adjustable and stronger.Regardless of riding position, every rider can take advantage of 20mm of friction-free travel between stem and head tube.Hands on the handlebars remain steady, ensuring a smoother ride with more control to be faster, safer and more confident.
  The low clamp design exposes a larger portion of the seatpost to increase its flex. The Pavé seatpost 'controls' this movement for optimal vibration absorption in the vertical plane. These two things together form the 'AfterShock' technology, and in combination with the Roubaix's rigid rear frame, they create a smooth ride without compromising efficiency.
  The Roubaix SL8 is the most comfortable road bike our Ride Science Team has ever tested - it reduces handlebar impacts by 53% compared to other bikes in this category. With the Future Shock 3.0 cartridge, the wheel flies over the obstacle while the rider remains stable and maintains the trajectory over rough terrain. Normally, the fork flexes backwards on impact, causing a loss of speed. Scientifically, more comfortable means faster.
• FACT 12r is 50 grams lighter than its predecessor. No other bike in this category is faster or lighter than the new Roubaix.
• CAPACITY: The Roubaix pioneered endurance geometry, giving you the feeling of pedalling 'in' the bike, not 'on' the bike.So the pressure on your hands, shoulders and arms decreases, giving you capacity and confidence on any road.
  With tyre clearance of up to 38c/40mm this endurance road bike provides exceptional traction on rough roads or gravel. Thanks to Specialized's light and efficient tyres, this increased cross-section has no disadvantages.
