The SPECIALIZED CHISEL EXPERT 2019 with its D'Aluisio Smartweld frame with Trail geometry and single crown configuration is perfect for cross country.
Traditional welding methods create joints between tubes and cylinders and the final quality of the work is directly related to the welder's skills. With DSW (D'Aluisio Smart Welding) technology, the connection is shifted from the area of greatest stress, making the frame stronger, lighter and more rigid, indispensable qualities for cross country. This results in greater uphill efficiency and speed on the single track.

The XC 29 geometry of the Chisel is similar to the XC race features, with the addition of a few DNA trail tracks: the head tube is longer, the head tube is shorter and the front corners are more relaxed. The end result is greater downhill stability, without compromising on uphill efficiency.

As far as technical specifications are concerned, the Chisel Expert 2019 features a 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle transmission, powerful SRAM Level TL disc brakes, and alloy wheels with 25mm internal width, optimized for lightness and traction.

CHISEL EXPERT 2019 SPECIALIZED BIKES MAIN FEATURES

The frame is made of M5 alloy. Together with the XC 29 geometry, D'Aluisio Smartweld welding technology and the internal cable routing, the Chisel is very fast, handy and easy to maintain.
The RockShox Reba RL 29 fork with 100mm stroke (90mm for size S), is easily adjustable in compression and return depending on the terrain.
The NX Eagle 12-speed SRAM groupset, with its 11-50 t cassette, offers a wide range of ratios that allows you to climb uphill, while having plenty of top-end for descents. The one-by settings also reduce weight and make it almost impossible to eliminate a chain.
