This is achieved through a special surface treatment on the inner and outer links of the roller chain. Designed to be used with the SHIMANO STEPS E8000 group, the HG-X11 chain features a SIL-TEC surface treatment on the pin and inner link for enhanced durability in 11-speed transmissions.
