• Protection: Tear-resistant compound, robust 60tpi nylon casing, and additional reinforcement at 120tpi on the sidewalls for improved puncture and cut protection without compromising performance.
• Grip: The SmartGRIP compound ensures high adhesion on both wet and dry surfaces; weather is no longer a problem, with no compromise in grip on both dry and wet terrain.
• Maneuverability: Tire profile optimized for modern aluminum or carbon rims with a wide internal channel.
• Damping: TUBELESS READY casing in robust Nylon 60tpi, developed to absorb shocks and vibrations, making low-pressure riding more stable with a wider footprint.

TECHNOLOGIES:

• SmartGRIP Compound: SmartGrip Compound is a blend that uses the most advanced chemical technologies to achieve two typically antithetical characteristics in the off-road world: mechanical resistance and chemical grip. This formulation allows reaching a level of performance that can be used throughout the rubber layer that makes up the tread. The use of a single compound ensures that the performance does not decrease as the tread wears, a common issue with multilayer compounds. Pirelli chooses the best compound for each tread and size, with no compromise between grip and handling on both dry and wet surfaces.
• HardWALL: Carcass structure with protection from bead to bead and a hard rubber insert above the bead for reliability suitable for aggressive riding styles. Developed based on modern bikes, the multiple reinforcements incorporated into the structure focus on improving reliability and providing better support at low pressures.
• MTB Rear Specific: The tread of the Scorpion™ MTB Rear Specific is developed for use on the same terrains as the Scorpion™ MTB Mixed Terrain, with medium-height and spaced lugs and a wide range of uses dedicated to mixed conditions, whether dry or wet. The specific design of the central lugs, derived from Pirelli's experience in motocross, increases grip and stability both in braking and traction, giving this tire unique dynamic and reliability features, offering excellent sliding performance on mixed terrains.
