MONDRAKER CRAFTY CARBON XR BIKE

The Mondraker CRAFTY CARBON XR is anything but an ordinary e-bike! Equipped with the BOSCH Performance Line CX Race motor, it is one of the first bikes on the market to be equipped with this motor. A new addition to the equipment list is the Bosch Kiox 500, which has a 40 percent larger color display than its predecessor. An excellent combination of sleek looks and never-before-seen engine performance and features.

Long name - clear statement: Race. The new Bosch motor is as exclusive as it is powerful. More aggressive, more dynamic, and with unprecedented acceleration, Race mode offers 400% engine support compared to 340% in Turbo mode on the conventional Performance CX model. Torque remains unchanged at 85 Nm. Featuring a magnesium housing, the engine weighs 2,750 grams, making it exactly 150 grams lighter than the standard Performance Line CX series engine.

One of the most important features of the new Bosch Performance Line CX Race motor is the "Race" mode, a mode superior to the traditional "Turbo" mode. Both modes can be configured via the eBike Flow app, as can settings for other support levels, dynamic acceleration, initial acceleration, maximum speed, and maximum torque.

The MIND system is Mondraker's latest innovation, an intelligent solution for perfect suspension adjustment and more!MIND will change the way we ride. In 2021, Mondraker will introduce a fully integrated telemetry system with built-in GPS that connects via a mobile app, offers numerous functions, and provides a wide range of data on every riding situation-a technology never before installed on a production MTB. MIND collects ride data and information on shock and suspension operation and transmits it to the myMondraker app for further analysis.The app also provides access to the entire "Mondraker universe," making every ride an unbeatable experience.

The front sensor is hidden and well protected inside the head tube and detects the magnetic field of a magnet attached to the upper end of the left fork tube.

It continuously records the travel of the fork suspension by determining the relative position of the fork 100 times per second during riding and up to 5,000 times per second during SAG measurement.This sensor also serves as a central unit and transmits all data via Bluetooth to the myMondraker app on the smartphone.

This central unit also receives readings from the rear MIND sensor, which is located on the upper link of the Zero suspension system and measures the field of a magnet located on the main bearing of the rear frame triangle.Together they collect the rear suspension performance data and send it to the central unit.

Finally, the MIND central unit also has a built-in GPS receiver with its own GSM 2G / 4G connection, independent of the phone, and each MIND unit has its own rechargeable battery with an average battery life of more than 20 hours in operation or more than 15 days in standby mode.To fully recharge, simply connect both devices to a charger with a USB-C cable.

FORWARD GEOMETRY

The Crafty Carbon benefits from Mondraker's last 8 years of experience with Forward geometry.And as an e-bike, it has the best Forward geometry ever created for an e-MTB: a steep 76° seat angle ensures an optimal and efficient riding position.The optimized chainstay length of 455 mm has been perfectly balanced to offer maximum uphill traction and playful handling.The typical long reach, coupled with the short front center that Mondraker bikes are famous for, and the 65.5° slack steering angle and short offset 160 mm Fox fork provide unparalleled front wheel traction and steering precision.

Above all, the short offset of 44 mm suspension fork fully unfolds its positive influence on steering characteristics only in combination with Forward Geometry's long reach and short FG30 stem. A short offset means a longer trail, which improves directional stability and makes handling light and extremely controllable.The improved front wheel grip is the icing on the cake: more speed, more safety, more fun!

ZERO KINEMATICS OPTIMIZED FOR E-BIKES

Zero is Mondraker's patented suspension system, a technological pioneer for suspension systems with a virtual pivot point.Consisting of 2 rocker arms that compress and control the shock from both sides, Zero is a distinctive feature of all Mondraker Full Suspension models.Like the entire 2020 range, the Crafty Carbon introduces a further improved development phase of the Zero suspension system, which has been specially adapted to the special requirements and features of e-MTBs.

All three Crafty Carbon RR SL, RR, and R models are equipped with FOX DPS shock absorbers with metric-pivot mounts and internal tuning, developed specifically for use with the Zero suspension system and its 150 mm travel.

AIRFLOW COOLING SYSTEM
The Crafty Carbon features an innovative cooling system that directs airflow through the down tube.Air enters through openings near the head tube, flows along the battery and exits at the base of the down tube. This effectively dissipates waste heat from the battery, ensuring its tremendous performance even under full load.

HIDDEN HOUSING GUIDEThe Crafty Carbon features Mondraker's Hidden Housing Guide (HHG) technology, which routes all cables and lines for the rear derailleur, brakes and, on the Crafty Carbon R and RR, the retractable seatpost inside the frame.Of particular interest is Acros' new ICR (Integrated Cable Routing) headset, developed specifically for the Crafty Carbon in collaboration between Acros and Mondraker.It allows cables to be routed through the headset from above, providing a neat and clear look.

Another feature of Race mode is the "extended boost," already familiar from the eMTB mode, but in Race mode it has an even longer boost that opens up unimaginable possibilities on technical passages, single trails, and climbs.
