The Focus Paralane 8.8 road bike offers less fatigue thanks to increased comfort. Its geometry is designed for long-distance endurance, and the comfort-oriented frame design (C.I.A.) ensures longer-lasting enjoyment. Its wheels allow you to ride on any road, whether main or secondary routes. Thanks to detailed engineering from the Focus team, matching mudguards can be installed quickly and easily. C.I.A. technology delivers great comfort, reducing muscle fatigue. For enhanced comfort, the cross-sections of the seat stays, chainstays, and seat tube (Comfort Improving Areas) are designed to be as flat and flexible as possible. This allows the frame to absorb vibrations, the bike rolls more smoothly, and the rider can maintain performance for longer. The R.A.T. system is the first thru-axle system that combines the stability, alignment, and lateral stiffness of a thru-axle with extremely fast wheel changes. The patented R.A.T. system even surpasses traditional quick-release skewers in ease and speed.

Your fast yet versatile daily companion. At your pace, along your route—wherever it may take you. The durable carbon frame of the PARALANE weighs just 1,130 grams (size M). With a system weight limit of 120 kg, it's also suitable for high-adventure bikepacking.

Endless possibilities with clearance for 35 mm tires

All PARALANE models come equipped with 32 mm road tires. Letting you cruise over pothole-ridden roads and bumpy bike paths with ease. Some say that with the PARALANE, you could even tackle light gravel routes. If desired, you can fit tires up to 35 mm wide—making route planning on Komoot even easier. The frame is built around a standard 27.2 mm round seatpost to give you all the fit options you need. In addition, our refined C.I.S. road stem is available in six lengths from 70 to 120 mm, and switching between them is easier than ever without opening the brake line.

Plenty of extras for your comfort

PARALANE is built to take you further. That’s why it comes with special extras and a matching mudguard set. A top tube bag is included to ensure you're well-fueled on long rides. Additionally, all models come with a dedicated frame protection sticker sheet for extra care of your frame. We’ve also designed a dedicated mudguard set (Item No. 311048800) that doesn’t spoil the look or speed of the bike. You can purchase it from your local FOCUS dealer.
