With modern single chain guide drivetrains and new front derailleur and sprocket technologies developed to achieve the best chain retention, the chain guide has become a component that is no longer as fundamental as it was a few years ago.
Nevertheless, the fall of the chain, albeit more sporadically, is an inconvenience that happens, especially to the more experienced downhill riders.

There is also an aggravating circumstance: once upon a time, in the days of the double, there was the front derailleur that allowed the chain to recover the chain that had fallen between crankset and frame and put it back on the chain guide without having to stop. Today, once the chain is down, there is only one aerator: stop, pull it up by hand and start again.

For this reason, especially in racing, the chain guide is a component that still has its importance today and is used by many bikers.

Our E*Thirteen TRS 2 Screw chain guide is designed for enduro riding: equipped with a steel back plate, it will offer a long term durability that, at the expense of slightly more weight, will save you money by using steel instead of aluminum (or carbon fiber).

The compact top slider uses polycarbonate parts that are solvent resistant and will not break or break after exposure to lubricants and detergents, while the soft, co-moulded rubber interior reduces noise and opens quickly and easily without tools.

This mtb chain guide has two configurations: one that mounts on ISCG05 boards, and one specific for the Shimano STEPS e-bike system.
