The BURGTEC OVAL THICK-THIN GXP BOOST 3 MM OFFSET OVAL SPROCKET offers the mechanical advantage of increased transmission. Through extensive testing of different prototypes with varying amounts of ovality it was found that 115% (from center to top) is optimal. This adequately reduced dead center and gave the same perfect chain retention and silence as the round chainrings. Shortening the dead center at the top and bottom of the power curve allows you to return to the power phase of crank rotation earlier.
