Produced in a limited run of only 1987 drivetrain kits worldwide, each individually numbered and finished in a style found nowhere else, it is a celebration of where SRAM started and everything they are proud of today. So, whether you are upgrading or building a once-in-a-lifetime project, this is your chance to experience Eagle Transmission in the most unique way possible. And when they’re gone, they’re gone.

1987 Eagle Transmission AXS T-Type Drivetrain Kit Composition:

Cassette

Based on the architecture of SRAM’s XX SL lightweight clamping interface, the cassette has been reduced by another 25 grams without sacrificing performance or durability. Same 10-52T range, same X-Sync teeth for optimal shifting under load. Not compatible with E-MTBs!

Crankset with Power Meter

Take SRAM’s most advanced aluminum crankset ever made, the X0 T-Type, and pair it with the most precise, fully integrated power meter. The dual-sided measurement system calculates total watts, is slim, lightweight, and boasts unbeatable battery life. The innovative design delivers a fully aluminum structure with a perfectly balanced stiffness-to-weight ratio.

AXS Rear Derailleur

Balancing weight and strength, the 1987 derailleur is the definition of performance, durability, and style, achieved by combining the robust XX cage with the lightweight XX SL body. The limited silver finish matches the Full Mount architecture, delivering a derailleur that ensures perfect shifting every time.

Flat Chain

The 1987 Collection T-Type chain features hollow pins, hollow links, and a hard chrome coating, pushing the strength-to-weight ratio to unprecedented levels. Fine details include SRAM founder Stan Day’s signature and the kit’s unique serial number.

AXS Pod Controllers

Two AXS Pod Ultimate controllers complete the kit, offering an ergonomic cockpit and the freedom to customize right- and left-hand touchpoints. Silver Infinity clamps are included to match the rest of the system.

Accessories

Because you can never be too prepared, SRAM included 32T and 34T chainrings, as well as the required thread removal tool to set up the transmission to your needs. A USB-C 4-battery charger charges four AXS batteries at once compared to a single charger, while the two included AXS batteries ensure you always have a spare on hand.

Note: T-Type components are compatible only with SRAM Eagle Transmission systems. The rear derailleur is designed for frames with UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) specifications and a hangerless interface. Bottom bracket cups and adapters are not included; they can be ordered separately.
