The SANTA CRUZ HIGHTOWER CC X01 29 is a trail mtb perfect for easy pedaling on all climbs and descents. The shock absorber mounted at the bottom of the VPP suspension creates a nearly linear leverage curve, which means it flattens out all the bumps and maintains the progressiveness normally reserved for V10 DH bikes.
The model offers 145mm of rear travel and 150mm of front travel in combination with a 65-degree head tube angle.
The frame is made of carbon and represents the perfect balance between stiffness and lightness. The frame tracks all trail surfaces well, maintains a line, and is responsive to rider directions while isolating pedal-influenced inputs.
The bike has the flip-chip to enhance the experience: when set to "High" the bottom bracket height is a bit higher so you can tackle technical trails when Plus sized tires are required. In the "Low" position the shock is more progressive so as to provide additional resistance from the bottom to the outside.
