Maxxis' Rekon Plus TR EXO 3C tyre is ideal for Cross-Country competitions on standard 27.5 Plus bikes, but can also be used on technical terrain where the rider needs grip and control. The tire has a 120 TPI carcass and a 3C MaxxTerra tire compound for low rolling resistance and excellent traction. This tire is perfect for those looking for a lightweight model that gives the best performance. The tire includes the Tubeless Ready system, so you can mount the tire with or without an inner tube, and Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls that increases protection against abrasion and tearing.

TECHNOLOGIES

• 3C MAXX GROUND TRIPLE MIXTURE: An intermediate compound configuration is used in selected mountain tyres. 3C MaxxTerra is softer and offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, it is also more wear resistant and has lower rolling resistance.
• EXO: extremely cut-resistant and abrasion-resistant material added to the sides of MTB tyres. This layer obtained with a super-lightweight dense weave does not affect the performance of the tire.
• TR TUBELESS READY: The TR tubeless ready version of MAXXIS provides the biker with many advantages: the possibility to pedal with a reduced tyre pressure, this greatly improves traction; lower rolling resistance compared to an inner tube tyre; lower possibility to have the tyre on the ground. Maxxis TR tubeless ready covers have the same advantages as UST tubeless covers without being penalized by the increased weight. For the TR version a standard casing is used and therefore requires the use of anti-puncture liquid for air tightness. Maxxis TR covers are the only covers approved for use with anti-puncture liquids.
  Maxxis TR tubeless ready tyres can also be used on non Tubeless wheels with the use of an inner tube.
