The new Tech 4 lever has changed a lot, not only in appearance. Hope has also made a big step forward in technical properties. The expansion chamber has been enlarged and redesigned. Thanks to the new design, the Tech 4 brake lever can deliver 30% more braking power. For a particularly light feel of the lever, the spring rate has been reduced and a guide for the brake piston is used. The ease of movement is supported by an industrial ball bearing at the hinge point. The brake lever has become longer for better modulation and greater control. As before, lever width and bite point can be adjusted without tools. The two-piece clamp for mounting to the handlebar simplifies installation, as nothing needs to be removed from the handlebar for installation.
The V4 caliper is very rigid with large cooling fins. High braking performance, excellent dosing and thermal sizing, which reliably lock in even heavier riders on the more difficult terrain. The calipers, machined as usual from T6 2014 aluminum, are the result of development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This allows weight reduction, improved aesthetics and the ideal partner for the tech lever. The bleeder nipples are sealed for easier maintenance and the extended fluid outlet simplifies the line routing. The brake pads can be easily removed from the top, making wheel removal unnecessary during gear changes. The unique strength of this large brake caliper is its wide internal clearance, which allows use of ventilated brake discs!
