HyperWallA new construction that improves handling and puncture protection at low pressures, key factors in off-road applications, especially the most demanding and aggressive ones such as Gravity and e-MTB, for which bead robustness and sidewall stability are fundamental pillars in performance. This innovation derived from pirelli’s experience in Motocross features a higher rubber reinforcement on both sidewalls combined with an additional fabric layer that connects it to the bead, stabilizing it (+10%) and protecting it and increasing pinch resistance by 50%. Achieving a level of solidity and stability under sidewall loads typical of downhill tires, without the weight penalty of a traditional bi-tela. All this (tutto questo) translates into lightness, tread flexibility and therefore grip and handling even at low pressures (+25%).
Tubeless ReadyTubeless ready tires offer the biker many advantages: the possibility of using lower air pressures, which improve traction; lower rolling resistance compared to a tire with an inner tube; a lower chance of puncturing because there is no inner tube. Tubeless ready tires must be mounted on rims compatible with tubeless and require the use of a liquid sealant to maintain pressure. Liquid sealants have the additional advantage of sealing small punctures. Make sure to regularly check the sealant and replace it if necessary, because over tempo it dries out.

This structure is designed to provide superior protection against cuts and punctures and is designed to absorb small vibrations and big impacts. The DualWall casing specific for enduro is instead made of a dual-ply 120 tpi casing, reinforced with a rubber insert for the bead. This structure provides protection and support, while having limited weight and the superior suppleness and speed of an Enduro Race tyre.

The key element of SmartEVO DH is the combination of two layers of rubber compounds: on the outside there is a super-soft compound ad alte prestazioni (42 Shore A*), while on the inside, under the tread, there is a damping compound that provides support and shock absorption. The two compounds work together seamlessly, giving the rider a feeling of handling, responsiveness and precision under extreme lateral loads, typical of downhill racing. The outer rubber layer has been tuned bearing in mind that rolling resistance is still a key factor when racing against the tempo.
Dual Wall+Fully predictable lateral support, better shock absorption and high reliability: 2-ply 60 tpi TLR casing rigida with anti-pinch rubber insert and additional textile sidewall reinforcement.
