The new P Zero Race TLRs are the first PIRELLI product with tubeless technology fully made in Italy, at the new Bollate factory.

The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in the PIRELLI portfolio and the first tubeless tire entirely produced in Italy. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi carcass involves using an aramid-reinforced blend that coats the inner layer of the tire, improving both rolling resistance and tire durability. Result: a tire that is less rigid but faster. The compound maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance PZERO tires in the range.

TECHNOLOGIES

SmartEVO Compound: The racing formulation for road use ever more advanced, born from Pirelli’s experience in top Motorsport competitions and from the specific collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposing characteristics, such as grip and rolling resistance. The ternary polymer blend with “intelligent” performance characteristics as the basis of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound enables better grip on dry and wet surfaces, while also improving wear resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance mix designed for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local races or World Tour events to epic adventures where weather and road surfaces require tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is exclusively for the P ZERO range.

SPEEDCORE: The most performant tubeless-ready road structure in the Pirelli range uses a layer of aramid-reinforced compound that coats the inner tire layer, allowing air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is completed by a 120tpi Nylon fabric and a puncture protection layer, also in aramid.
