HyperWALL
The third innovation Pirelli brings to the cycling world from its Motorsport background: a new construction of the bead and sidewalls that further increase tire performance in terms of handling at low pressures and puncture protection. Particularly in Offroad applications, especially in the more demanding ones like Gravity and e-MTB, the integrity of the bead area and the stability of the sidewalls are a fundamental point for overall tire performance: the tread with its sophisticated compound relies heavily on the behavioral characteristics of these two elements. Pirelli has introduced a construction that firmly fixes the bead and the sidewall insert in rubber with a woven fabric flipper, ensuring they behave as a single solid piece rather than as separate components with relative movement. The quantitative advantages of this innovation: Better bead stability (+10%). Greater protection against pinch flats (+50%). Better handling at low pressures (+25%). Greater resistance to cuts.

SmartGRIP Compound
SmartGrip Compound is a compound that uses the most advanced chemical technologies to achieve two typically antithetical characteristics in the offroad world: mechanical strength and chemical grip. This formulation allows achieving a performance level that can be used across the entire rubber layer that forms the tread. The use of a single compound guarantees that performance does not drop as the tread wears, a typical issue of multi-layer compounds. Pirelli chooses the best compound for each tread and each size, no compromise between grip and handling on dry and wet.
