HyperWALL
The third innovation that Pirelli brings to the mondo of cycling from its Motorsport background: a new construction of the bead and sidewalls that further increases tyre performance in terms of handling at low pressures and puncture resistance. Especially in Offroad applications, particularly the most demanding ones such as Gravity and e-MTB, the integrity of the bead area and the stability of the sidewalls are a key point for the overall performance of the tyre: the tread with its sophisticated compound relies heavily on the behavioral characteristics of these two elements. Pirelli has introduced a construction that firmly fixes the bead and the rubber sidewall insert with a woven fabric flipper, so that they behave like a single solid piece instead of separate components with relative movimenti to each other. The advantage of this innovation in numbers: Better bead stability (+10%). Greater protection against pinch flats (+50%). Better handling at low pressures (+25%). Greater resistance against cuts.

SmartGRIP Compound
SmartGrip Compound is a compound that uses the most advanced chemical technologies to achieve two typically antithetical characteristics in the offroad world: mechanical resistance and chemical grip. This formulation makes it possible to achieve such a level of performance that it can be used throughout the entire layer of rubber that makes up the tread. The use of a single compound ensures that performance does not decrease as tread wear increases, a critical issue that is instead typical of multi-layer compounds. Pirelli chooses the best compound for each tread and each size, with no compromise between grip and handling on dry and wet surfaces.
