The new generation of the PZERO Race TLR is the most performing tire in our portfolio and also the first tubeless tire entirely made in Italy at the new Bollate factory. The introduction of SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi carcass involves using a compound blended with aramid that coats the tire’s inner layer, improving both rolling resistance and durability. Result: a tire that is less rigid but faster. The compound maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance PZERO tires in the range.

The racing formulation for road use ever more advanced, born from Pirelli’s experience in top Motorsport competitions and in collaboration with World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing performance in a perfect balance of opposite characteristics, such as grip and rolling resistance. The ternary polymer blend with “intelligent” behavior characteristics as the basis for the exceptional properties of the SmartEVO compound enables better grip on dry and wet surfaces, while improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance compound tuned for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local and World Tour races to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces demand tires that excel in all conditions. SmartEVO is for exclusive use of the P ZERO™ range.

The most performing tubeless-ready road structure in our range, featuring a layer of aramid-blend compound that coats the tire’s inner layer, allowing air retention. This new structure makes the tire more resistant thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to the greater flexibility of the compound compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is completed by a 120tpi Nylon textile and a puncture protection layer, also aramid-based.
