The new generation of PZERO Race TLR is the most high-performance tyre in our portfolio as well as being the first tubeless tyre entirely made in Italy in the new Bollate factory. The introduction of the new SPEEDCORE technology in the 120tpi casing involves the use of a mixture combined with aramid that covers the inner layer of the tyre, improving both the smoothness and the resistance of the tyre. The result: a less rigid but faster tyre. The compound instead maintains the same advanced SmartEVO technology, shared with the other high-performance tyres of the PZERO range.
The most advanced racing formulation ever for road use, nata from Pirelli’s experience in the highest Motorsport competitions and from specific collaboration with the World Tour factory teams. The new SmartEVO Compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each of which delivers Performance in a perfetto balance of opposing characteristics, such as grip and smoothness. The ternary mixture of polymers with “intelligent” behavioural characteristics as the base of the exceptional properties of the SmartEvo compound allows for better grip on dry and wet surfaces, while at the same time improving rolling resistance. SmartEVO Compound is a high-performance compound fine-tuned for the most modern cycling disciplines, from local races or the World Tour to epic adventures in which weather and road surfaces require tyres that excel in all circumstances. SmartEVO is for the exclusive use of the P ZERO™ range.
The most high-performance tubeless-ready road structure of our range involves the use of a layer of mixture combined with aramid that covers the inner layer of the tyre, ensuring air retention. This new structure makes the tyre more resistant, thanks to the presence of aramid, but at the same time less rigid and faster, due to the greater flexibility of the mixture compared to a bead-to-bead fabric. The casing is then completed by a tela in 120tpi Nylon and by a puncture-proof layer, also in aramid.
