CERVELO ÁSPERO GRX RX820 BIKE A QUESTION OF WATTS In 2019 Áspero took the world by storm by announcing a “new era of speed in gravel”. The new Áspero remains faithful to those early, simpler days of true gravel, but with some improvements: a threaded bottom bracket, neater cable routing and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger for those who want to use SRAM drivetrains. And of course, it is more aerodynamic. In the case of Áspero, however, aerodynamic performance is not so much about speed for its own sake as it is about saving energy, achieved by reducing aerodynamic drag. After a long day with a headwind, the three watts saved compared to the previous Áspero could be equivalent to one less energy gel that your stomach will have to digest – try it to believe it! In addition to reducing aerodynamic drag, we have also lowered the stays to give a little more rear grip and slightly reduced front-end stiffness to make the last hours of those really long races less painful. Between the lowered stays we have also added a bit more mud clearance, drawing on what we learned from the R5-CX (and from the 2023 Unbound mudfest). These are many seemingly small improvements, but they add up to many more. The result is a bike that looks a lot like the original Áspero, but is in fact faster, more comfortable and more versatile. T47 Bottom Bracket Áspero uses the asymmetric bottom bracket with T47a threading that we pioneered on the R5-CX. It is a simple and user-friendly interface that allows us to offer the advantages of BBRight in a form that is easier to use. UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGER We have used SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) as the standard on the new Áspero. It is ideal if you want to live your riding experience to the fullest with the most modern SRAM drivetrains while at the same time having the certainty of compatibility with future drivetrain developments. Easy and customizable front end Áspero shares the same bearing dimensions as the R5, Soloist, R5-CX and Caledonia, which means you can use any combination of headset and stem. Do you want a super-racing, fully integrated look? Go for the R5 ST31 and HB13 models. CERVELO CALEDONIA-5 FORCE AXS BIKE The Caledonia-5 is the bike we keep looking for when we know the odometer is going well beyond the three-digit threshold. Long rides invariably have a bit of smooth asphalt, a bit of rough asphalt on back roads, a cut singletrack connector and maybe even your local Strade Bianche sector. So we built a bike that could handle all of this, do it well and mount fenders in case the threatening clouds turn into a downpour 130 km into your day. FEATURES: Updated frame: the slimmer tube profiles throughout allow for a more comfortable bike while reducing system weight at the same time. Tire clearance is 36 mm and the support has been reduced by 10 mm. In Frame storage: same storage solution as seen on the P series Performance Fit: the integrated stem of the Caledonia-5 and the two bearing options allow stack that ranges from an aggressive 7 mm to a relaxed 22 mm without the use of spacers. With a wider fit coordinate range (stack) from 580 mm to 687 mm, the Caledonia can be slammed or more upright. All while maintaining a seamless look and speed in the wind. Removable FDM: our bolted front derailleur mount is made of high-strength aluminum alloy and attaches to the frame with two countersunk screws. This allows for easy replacement in case of damage, but also allows it to adapt to new standards as soon as they become available or to completely remove the front derailleur mount if you choose a 1x system. Aerodynamic cable management: the frame, fork, handlebar and related Cervélo components are designed to hide brake and shifting cables (mechanical, electric and hydraulic) from the wind, thus improving aerodynamics without compromising usability or performance. CERVELO ZFS-5 120 XO AXS BIKE GET READY TO GET IN SELLA Modern and snappy, the ZFS-5 was built for today’s ever-evolving XCO courses: it has to pedal well and be easy to handle, but it also has to be able to tackle every technical section and the difficulties scattered along the circuit. The 67.8 head tube angle of the ZFS-5 offers the precision needed for elbow-to-elbow sprints and the confidence to let off the brakes when the descents become steep.
