WATT MATTER
In 2019, Aspero conquered the world by announcing a "new era of speed in gravel." The new Aspero stays true to those early, simpler days of real gravel, but with some improvements: a threaded bottom bracket, tidier cable routing, and a derailleur hanger compatible with UDH for those who want to use SRAM drivetrains. And of course it is more aerodynamic. For Aspero, however, aerodynamic performance is less about achieving maximum speed and more about energy savings, obtained by reducing aerodynamic resistance. After a long day with headwinds, the three watts saved compared to the previous Aspero could equal one fewer energy gel your stomach will have to digest — Prove it to believe it!
Beyond reduced aerodynamic drag, we’ve also lowered the stays to provide a bit more rear grip and slightly softened the front-end rigidity to make the final hours of those truly long races less painful. Between the lowered stays we’ve also added a bit more mud clearance, drawing on what we learned from the R5-CX (and the Unbound mudfest of 2023). There are many improvements that seem small, but add up to many others. The result is a bike that looks a lot like the original Aspero, but is actually faster, more comfortable, and more versatile.
T47 Bottom Bracket
Aspero uses the asymmetric T47a threaded bottom bracket, of which we were pioneers on the R5-CX. It’s a simple and manageable interface that lets us offer the benefits of BBRight in a form that's easier to use.
UNIVERSAL DERAILLEUR HANGAR
We used SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) as the standard on the new Aspero. It’s ideal if you want to live your riding experience with the most modern SRAM drivetrains while ensuring compatibility with future drivetrain developments.
Easy and customizable Front End
Aspero shares the same bearing sizes as the R5, Soloist, R5-CX, and Caledonia, meaning you can use any combination of head tube bearings and handlebar stem. Want a super-racey, fully integrated look? Choose the ST31 and HB13 models from the R5.

The Caledonia-5 is the bike we keep searching for when we know the odometer is well beyond three figures. Long rides invariably include a bit of smooth asphalt, a bit of leftover asphalt on secondary roads, a cut singletrack section, and perhaps even your local Strade Bianche stretch. So we built a bike that could handle all of this, do it well, and mount fenders in case ominous clouds turn into a downpour 130 km into your day.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Updated frame: slimmer tube profiles across the board allow for a more comfortable bike while reducing system weight. Tire clearance is 36 mm and the dropout has been reduced by 10 mm.
In-frame Stowage: same storage solution seen on the P series
Performance Fit: the Caledonia-5’s integrated steerer and the two bearing options offer stack ranges from an aggressive 7 mm to a relaxed 22 mm without spacers. With a wider fit coordinate range (stack) from 580 mm to 687 mm, the Caledonia can be squeezed or pushed taller. All while maintaining a wind-slice appearance and speed with no discontinuities.
Removable FDM: our bolted front derailleur mount is made of high-strength aluminum alloy and is attached to the frame with two countersunk head screws. This allows easy replacement if damaged, but also lets you adapt to new standards as they become available or remove the front derailleur mount entirely if you choose a 1x system.
Aero cable management: the frame, fork, handlebars, and Cervélo components are designed to hide brake and shift cables (mechanical, electric, and hydraulic) from the wind, improving aerodynamics without compromising usability or performance.

The R5 has always had a single purpose: to reach the top as quickly as possible. But a finish line placed at the end of a long climb rarely coincides with the only ascent of the day. A race is usually not decided on the descent, but you can easily lose on the descent. A climbing bike that cannot tackle a hairpin turn on the way down tastes like a cup of decaffeinated coffee. This is the fourth generation Cervélo R5, and while weight and stiffness have improved over the years, handling and the unparalleled agility have remained constant since its first day of life.
FASTER IN EVERY DIRECTION
The new R5 frame is 130 g lighter than the previous model, a 16% reduction. Additionally, even though aerodynamics was not a primary objective for this frame as it would be for an S5 or a P5, the integrated cable solution reduced aerodynamic drag by 25 g.
DARKER AT NIGHT, LIGHTER THAN AIR
The black color can absorb all light, but the Cervélo Five Black is far from heavy. This ultra-minimal graphics and paint package translates into a significantly lighter frame: you won’t even see it coming.
LESS RIGID, ALWAYS FAST
The R5 is stiff, but not too much. A perfect blend of handling, stability, and power transfer that feel “just right” and keep you fresh and ready for the road ahead.
Turbulent Aero
This year’s feature for R5 models is the stock Reserve 34|37 TA wheel set. TA stands for Turbulent Aero, a new way of thinking about aerodynamics. Reserve and Cervélo have developed a protocol to replicate real-world wind conditions in wind tunnel tests to develop aerodynamic profile shapes that perform better in everyday use. This means the wheels are not only light, responsive, and fast, but also exceptionally stable and safe in all wind conditions.
SRAM INTEGRATED POWER
Red and Force versions include Quarq Zero power meters integrated into the crank. Integrating a power meter improves rigidity, reduces weight, and increases precision compared to aftermarket solutions, and the DZero provides power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even with variable temperatures.

In the 2022 Tour de France, this bicycle pushed Wout to achieve the highest points scoring in the modern era sprint classification. At 480 points, Wout had about 194 points lead over his nearest rival: tangible proof that Cervélo continues to provide aerodynamic advantages to its World Tour athletes.
The new S5 has reduced aerodynamic drag by 65 grams and increased the frame surface, while reducing overall weight. The deeper sections of the frame maximize the shapes allowed by UCI. The iconic V-stem has been further refined and the new fork has been designed to simplify the entire front end.
Additionally, in collaboration with Reserve, a new and revolutionary wheel concept has been developed to increase stability and reduce aerodynamic drag in turbulent conditions.
CERVELO S5 ULTEGRA DI2 28 MAIN FEATURES:
V stands for Velocity: In pursuit of speed, everyone wants to try different positions to find the most aggressive setup. The iconic V mount on the S5 not only provides safe high-speed riding, but is now also exceptionally easy to adjust. All required spacers are provided with the bike, and there is now a single bolt length, reducing complexity and lightening the system by 53 g.
Frame improvements: The new UCI aerodynamic design regulations have granted us more freedom to deepen profiles and achieve 65 grams more aerodynamics than the already fastest aero bike on the market. Notable are a deeper head tube and bottom bracket area, as well as a more aggressive shaping of the tube exit edges. Because the new S5 is compatible only with electronic transmissions, it was possible to simplify the dropout area and update the shapes across the bike.
Aerodynamic turbulence: Reserve and Cervélo collaborated to develop a completely innovative approach to wheel design and testing, optimizing them for turbulent aerodynamic conditions. Wind tunnels typically measure performance in laminar flow, but such conditions are not realistic in the real world. We thus helped Reserve develop rim profiles that stall less dramatically with larger yaw angles: practically, this means greater stability, more grip, and more rider confidence. It makes you go faster because you feel more secure increasing speed. The Reserve 52/63 are 50 g faster in laminar flow and 54 g faster in turbulent flow compared to the previous Reserve 50/65.
Clearance for tires: Wider wheels and tires are faster aerodynamically and also more comfortable. The S5 is equipped with 28 mm tires but has space for up to 34 mm tires (measured). The frame is optimized to pair with the wider Reserve 52/63 wheels suitable for turbulence. In addition to handling advantages, this yields a saving of over 5 watts compared to the previous Reserve wheel set.
Handlebar refinement: We have improved handlebar comfort and modified the shape to achieve a perfectly flat transition between the bar and levers. We now use a two-bolt interface that allows continuous tilt adjustment between 0 and 5 degrees.
Simplicity: Bike fitters at all levels are moving away from long-offset seatposts, and the new S5 is supplied with a 15 mm offset seatpost in most sizes (versus 25 mm on the previous model). The old seatposts remain compatible and we will continue to stock the 400 mm model with 25 mm offset for those seeking a more extreme position.

REMOVABLE FDM
Our front deraille ur mount (FDM) is made from high-strength aluminum alloy and attaches to the frame with two countersunk head screws. This allows easy replacement in case of damage, but also enables adaptation to new standards or full removal of the front derailleur mount if you choose a 1x system.

The R5 has always had a single purpose: to reach the top as fast as possible. But a finish line set at the end of a long ascent rarely aligns with the day's only climb. Usually a race isn’t decided on the descent, but you can lose it easily on the descent. A climber’s bike that can’t handle a switchback on a descent tastes like a cup of decaf coffee. This is the fourth generation of Cervélo R5, and while weight and stiffness have improved over the years, handling and the unmatched agility have remained constant since its first day of life.
FASTER IN EVERY DIRECTION
The new R5 frame is lighter by 130 g compared to the previous model, a 16% reduction. Additionally, even though aerodynamics were not a primary objective for this frame as they would be for an S5 or a P5, the integrated cables solution reduced aerodynamic drag by 25 g.
DARKER THAN NIGHT, LIGHTER THAN AIR
The black color can absorb all light, but the Cervélo Five Black is anything but heavy. This ultra-minimal graphics and paint package translates into a considerably lighter frame: you won’t even see them coming.
LESS RIGID, ALWAYS FAST
The R5 is stiff, but not too stiff. A perfect mix of handling, stability, and power transfer that feels “just right” and keeps you fresh and ready for the road ahead.
Turbulent Aero
This year’s novelty for the R5 models is the standard Reserve 34|37 TA wheel set. TA stands for Turbulent Aero, a new way of thinking about aerodynamics. Reserve and Cervélo have developed a protocol to replicate real-world wind conditions in wind tunnel testing so as to develop aerodynamic profile shapes that perform better in everyday use. This means the wheels are not only light, responsive, and fast, but also exceptionally stable and safe in all wind conditions.
INTEGRATED SRAM POWER
Red and Force versions include Quarq Zero powermeters integrated into the crankset. Integrating a powermeter translates to improved stiffness, lighter weight, and greater accuracy than aftermarket solutions, and the DZero offers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.

A NEW BIKE FOR CLASSIC RIDES
The Caledonia-5 is the bike we would love to have when we know the odometer is creeping into the triple digits. Long rides always include a bit of smooth asphalt, some rough minor roads, occasionally a winding shortcut and perhaps even a Strade Bianche–style section. So we built a bike capable of handling all these situations, doing so in the best way and maybe allowing fenders to be mounted if threatening clouds turn into a downpour with still 130 km to pedal.
AERODYNAMIC CABLE MANAGEMENT
The frame, fork, handlebar, and Cervélo components are designed to hide the cables of brake and shifting controls (mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic) from the wind to improve aerodynamics without sacrificing practicality or performance.
PERFORMANCE FIT
The Caledonia-5 integrated stem and the two options for the headset cap allow you to vary the handlebar clamp height from an aggressive 7 mm to a more relaxed 22 mm without spacers. With a wider adjustment range, the Caledonia can be lower than an old R3 or higher than a already-high C3. All while maintaining aggressive, stylish aerodynamics.
REMOVABLE FDM
Our front derailleur mount (FDM: front derailleur mount) is made from high-strength aluminum alloy and is attached to the frame with two countersunk screws. This allows easy replacement in case of damage, but also lets you adapt to new standards or remove the derailleur mount completely if you choose a 1x system.
INTEGRATED MOUNTS
The integrated mounts allow you to use fenders, lights, and computers without compromising the bike’s aerodynamics or frame. Integrated mounting systems provide a clean, simple look.
SRAM INTEGRATED POWER

The new S5 builds on this heritage of speed and design to evolve into something even faster, more sought-after and distinctive, shedding weight to become an even more powerful ally in the hands of the world's fastest athletes. The new S5 is over 6 Watts faster than the current version, 124 grams lighter while delivering the same handling, responsiveness and stability that cyclists around the world already value in its predecessor. The most significant changes concern the front end, from which the most meaningful aerodynamic gains originate. The fork blades and headset are more pronounced, while the handlebar and stem are now a single redesigned piece, reviving the V-stem concept but with an even more aerodynamic and fast solution. Cervélo and Reserve have jointly developed the new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheels designed and wind-tunnel tested with the bike frame and optimised specifically for use with the new S5.
The integrated one-piece handlebar and stem of the new S5 contribute significantly to improving the bicycle's aerodynamic performance, but such improvements are limited if the rider is not fully comfortable with the bike. WORD OF ORDER, AERO!
The new S5 is 6.3 Watts faster than the current version (data obtained in a wind tunnel testing at 30 mph). These gains were possible thanks to major improvements mainly in the front of the bicycle, but also thanks to the incredible integration work of the asymmetrical profiles of the seat tube and the rear wheel. Cervélo has long been a leader in the field when it comes to aerodynamics, and, based on tests, the new S5 is at least 5 Watts faster than bikes of our closest competitors.
ONE-PIECE INTEGRATED HANDLEBAR
The new HB19 One-Piece handlebar uses our “Plus-Four” concept, meaning the upper part of the handlebar grip is 4 cm narrower than the lower part (for example, 38 cm/42 cm). This approach helps riders maintain a more aerodynamic body position when hands are in the high grip and provides stability in the low grip when tackling descents and sprints. All handlebar measurements comply with UCI rules, even in light of the latest regulatory changes. The best part? Despite the increased aerodynamic surface, the new S5 is 124 grams lighter than the previous model. Although the significant increase in fork and headset size has led to an obvious weight increase, we have optimized the carbon layup and the entire hardware to make the system even lighter.
NEW RESERVE 57|64 TA
The new Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheelset has been developed jointly by Reserve and Cervélo, designed and optimised in a wind tunnel with the new S5 frame. The asymmetry of the rear wheel matches the seat tube, ensuring a smooth airflow that reduces overall resistance. The new wheelset is 3 Watts faster than the current 52|63 wheels while maintaining the same weight.
