BICYCLE YETI 160E KIT C1 SLX FOX FACTORY The 160E is Yeti’s brand-new e-MTB. The bike features a dedicated suspension, specifically developed for it, called Sixfinity, and it is completely different from what has been seen on the SB66, SB6, and SB150. This new suspension is specifically designed and tuned to work with an electric motor.The Sixfinity layout, patented by Yeti, is a 6-bar linkage whose lower linkage, called Switch Link, behaves similarly to Switch Infinity. Sixfinity can be adjusted to have a response appropriate to the weight and speed of an e-MTB. Structural rigidity thus adapts to the weight and mass of an e-MTB.The more the suspension compresses, the more the Switch Link starts to rotate upward until the inversion point where it reverses rotation and rotates downward. In SAG, i.e., during pedaling, the suspension remains neutral thanks to a very high and constant anti-squat level, between 100% and 109%: pedaling does not interfere with the rear suspension until the switch-link rotates upward.At the inversion point, i.e., at about 80-90 mm of travel, when you are no longer pedaling, the suspension becomes progressive and behaves like a classic Yeti suspension.This bike was therefore designed to guarantee maximum traction and stability while the motor assist is active, i.e., while pedaling. To prevent the action of the rear brake from inhibiting suspension operation, the Sixfinity suspension has been set with an anti-rise level of 65% at about 50-60 mm of travel, i.e., in the SAG zone, which is a lower percentage than Yeti MTBs. This allows the rear wheel to stay firmly in contact with the ground and not disrupt the bike’s geometry when descending while braking.You can also vary the suspension leverage ratio: the leverage ratio indicates how many mm the shock absorber compresses when the suspension compresses. The ratio varies during the suspension’s operation.The bike is equipped with a Shimano EP801 motor, 160 mm travel, and 29" wheels. The 29" wheels are fast, the chainstay is fairly short, and thanks to the new suspension scheme it is possible to accommodate the Shimano EP801 motor 01 without keeping the rear wheel too far away. The chainstay measures 44.6 cm, which, with a 29" wheel, is an excellent result for an e-MTB with 160 mm travel.The battery is semi-integrated, has a capacity of 630Wh and is produced by Shimano: the battery is attached to the downtube and protected by a cover: this solution facilitates charging if it must be performed away from the bike.Steering angle of 64.5° with a 170 mm fork and 44 mm offset, effective seat tube angle 78°, reach 460 mm in size M, chainstay 446 mm, bottom bracket height (approx.) 350 mm across all sizes.Internal cable routing in the frame and, if a wireless drivetrain is installed, the cable pass-through can be configured appropriately. On frames from M to XL it is possible to mount a bottle cage on the downtube. BICYCLE YETI ASR ULTIMATE The ASR is back. We have never built a lighter full-suspension bicycle, but this one is only half the story. Bring the correct suspensions to proper mountain bike races. The race type that requires skill, not just lungs.The new ASR marks the widest carbon project we’ve ever tackled. It produced the lightest full-suspension bike in our history, updated the flex-fiber layup design to meet today’s cinematic standards, provided proper setup, an explosive sensitivity to small bumps, insane traction, and 100% usable travel.Customized blade shapes, critical material choices, smart drapery methods, and smooth transitions between each carbon sheet eliminated redundant carbon, offering radical strength for ultra-light weight. Such an ambitious program, based on in-depth carbon analytics, is a novelty for Yeti.We aimed to eliminate carbon redundancy everywhere, not just where it was easy. Our more than 20 years of experience with carbon told us we could remove solid volume at the pivot points and still exceed cross-country requirements without any performance or bearing longevity drawbacks.Another objective of the ASR was to design every frame with the same ride characteristics, giving every rider the same feel, regardless of size. Because the ASR uses single-layer carbon layups to eliminate redundant carbon, every sheet had to be cut with precision. Boring? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely yes. This allowed the specific size to be tuned at a much more sensitive level, and also precisely match the frame’s torsional stiffness and bending profiles.Back in 2003, our flexible-fork design represented a decade-long approach to full XC suspension. Today, the incarnate ASR considers the relationships between leverage ratio, link sizes, layup material properties, and modern short-travel shocks to offer XC-specific, responsive, efficient, and surprisingly light suspensions.Unlike the conventional headset bolt positioning method for longer-travel applications, the ASR’s pivot points are positioned so that the existing tube walls constitute a significant part of their shape and structure. To further reduce redundant carbon and save weight.The ASR features an almost linear progression curve to offer the maximum balance of efficiency in the suspension’s mid-stroke, where XC riders spend most of their time. But with 20% sag, it offers sensitive small-bump compliance typical of longer-travel bikes. Additionally, the last 1/4 of travel is designed to increase ramp, so the strongest hits and aggressive race lines don’t knock the bike off line. The external brake routing from handlebar to head tube makes shifting easier, and there’s no aerodynamic advantage to concealing them. The Hangerless interface creates the most robust and precise shifting, allowing Eagle Transmission derailleurs to be mounted directly on the wheel hub and to engage on both sides of the frame. BICYCLE YETI SB120C KIT C2 The YETI SB120C, with KIT C2, is a "downcountry" bike: it has the lightness of an XC bike, it pedals like an XC, it descends faster than an XC bike and has no handlebar blocks. Switch-Infinity floating-pivot suspension defines new expectations for kinematics, longevity, sensitivity, and power.The frame silhouette draws inspiration from the SB160 and the torsional precision and ground clearance are increased, without conveying unwanted feedback to the rider. And the refined Switch Infinity makes this bike far more capable than its weight might suggest.The new pivot design foresees the use of 100% standard-sized cartridge bearings fixed with precision: floating axles machined. All bearings are press-fit into the rear triangle or the front triangle.A relatively linear progression curve provides riders with an active and usable travel with a 30% sag, a margin much larger than other 120 mm travel bikes. The SB120’s small impacts sensitivity offers incredible traction. The mid-stroke of the travel has support to ensure riders don’t use up all the travel when decisively tackling corners or lifting the wheels off the ground. The “Oh Shit!” moments are easily managed: the compression curve has been tuned for greater control from start to finish.The bottom bracket is forged aluminum with integrated ISCG-05 adapters. If the chainring support is damaged, the new Yeti models use the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) interface, the standard support for a rear derailleur.The shorter seat tube allows the installation of a longer dropper post. Most riders will be able to run a 150 mm dropper on Small frames*, 175 mm on Medium*, and 200 mm+ on L-XXL* (Depends on the actual saddle height for the bike size.).The one-piece linkage for the shocks, ultra-compact and minimalist, was specifically designed for SB120’s lower suspension travel needs.
