BUILT BY RIDERS: The STATUS 2 offers a super strong M5 aluminum frame and robust alloy wheels. Tough suspension, powerful brakes, and reliable drivetrain options round out these models for smooth pedaling and taking big jumps with excellent braking capability. They’re not for gram counters—they’re for riders who push limits and go beyond.
RIDE DYNAMICS TUNING: Our Specialized Ride Dynamics team developed the kinematics and refined the geometry to deliver a snappy, lively bike suited both to technical singletrack and to jumping a flight of stairs.
CUSTOMIZATION: Every STATUS 2 model is equipped with flip chips (located on the Horst pivot link, near the rear axle) that allow the rider to precisely adjust the frame geometry to match the desired riding style or terrain. Bikes ship in the high position, but by flipping the chip, the bottom bracket drops by 8mm and the head tube angle becomes more relaxed. allentarle: movement centrale lower by 8 mm and the head tube angle will be half a degree more relaxed.

The handlebar was developed in collaboration with the top athletes of the Specialized team and the Retül Fit team and is aerodynamic, light and stiff: the mix perfetto to seize the vittoria.The absence of connecting components between handlebar and stem allows for an airfoil profile. A 4-watt improvement may seem small, but it results in a 32 cm advantage in a 250 m final sprint. When races are won by throwing the bike, this is a winning difference.Without the connecting components between handlebar and stem, the Rapide Cockpit is 50 g lighter (100 mm x 420 mm) than the combination of Rapide handlebar with Tarmac stem.
