Less trivial was building a brake that, despite its great power, had the usual exceptional modulation of all Trickstuff brakes. After all, power is worth nothing without control. It seems to have worked. Our test riders Mick Hannah, Jakob Breitwieser, Nina Hoffmann and Gee & Rachel Atherton are enthusiastic. They have already won numerous World Cup Downhill medals with the MAXIMA. PAIR OF TRICKSTUFF MAXIMA BRAKES MAIN FEATURES: ERGONOMICS: Nothing disturbs and annoys on the finger rest as much as angles and edges. The flexible Goodridge steel brake hose has a diameter of 6 mm (compared to 5 mm of the altri brake hoses). Therefore, it does not pass through the openings for internal cable routing on all frames. If this is a problem for you, we will be happy to supply you with a “bare” steel hose. This has a diameter of 5 mm, since the steel mesh is not coated with plastic. The MAXIMA is also available with a Kevlar hose resistant to alte pressures (5 mm). DOT versus oil? No altra question occupies the minds of brake experts più than the issue of brake fluid. It is more a religious than a technical question.The fact is that – and practice proves it – both work! Both work!
