The new Epic 8 elevates the concept of speed as the sum of obstacle-handling ability, efficiency, and lightness. Modern XC courses demand ever-increasing performance, which is why we've further refined the suspension kinematics of the Epic 8, delivering even more efficient pedaling. Shock absorbers with custom specs and tuning soak up every impact, making the Epic 8 a wolf in sheep’s clothing. If you're an XC racer chasing maximum speed, the Epic 8 is the perfect bike.

HIGH CAPABILITY: The 120mm travel and progressive geometry make the Epic 8 extremely capable on technical terrain, very fast and efficient uphill, and incredibly snappy and responsive during acceleration. Torsional and lateral stiffness also ensure perfect handling precision.

WHAT BUMPS?: Compared to the previous model, the Epic 8 absorbs 12% more impact forces and vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and allowing you to use your energy to push harder on the pedals.

RIDE DYNAMICS: The Specialized Ride Dynamics Team developed a custom shock tune for the Epic 8 that enhances the holistic ride experience. This specific tuning, combined with leverage ratios and updated kinematics, significantly improves ride quality.

BIOMECHANICAL EFFICIENCY: By optimizing the kinematics, the Specialized Ride Dynamics Team reduced pedal-induced movement by 20%, keeping the suspension active for better bump absorption. This lets the rider maintain a more efficient pedaling position. The result is the most efficient full-suspension bike we've ever made.

MORE WITH LESS: We didn’t add a single gram to improve the Epic 8's features. All models now include the SWAT 4.0 system and an integrated steering stop to protect the frame in case of a crash.

The new S-Works Epic 8 frame is even 76 grams lighter, despite all the added features.
