The FIZIK TEMPO OVERCURVE R4 are versatile and easy-to-wear road cycling shoes. The upper is made of laminated PU and the top section is made of mesh for excellent air circulation. The ergonomic construction follows the anatomy of the foot and the R4 sole is made of carbon-injected nylon.The shoe closure is fast, reliable and secure and features a micro-adjustable BOA® IP1 dial. The rear part wraps around the ankle, tracing the natural alignment of the two bony protrusions of the ankle: the lateral and medial malleoli. The result is an asymmetrical shape, with the toe of the shoe curving over the foot from the outside to the inside.The R4 sole is sufficiently stiff and provides high confort and efficiency while pedaling, as well as excellent air circulation. The cleat is positioned slightly further towards the heel compared to the traditional placement to optimize pedaling efficiency and reduce knee compression, particularly suitable for aggressive aero riding positions.

The new Tech 4 lever has changed a lot, not only in terms of appearance. Hope has also taken a big step forward in terms of technical properties. The expansion reservoir has been enlarged and redesigned. Thanks to the new design, the Tech 4 brake lever can transmit 30% more braking power. For an especially light lever feel, the spring rate has been reduced and a guide is used for the brake piston. Ease of movement is supported by an industrial ball bearing at the pivot point. The brake lever has become longer for better modulation and greater control. As before, the lever width and bite point can be adjusted without tools. The two-piece clamp for fastening to the handlebar simplifies installation, since nothing has to be removed from the handlebar for mounting.
The V4 caliper is very rigida and has large cooling fins. High braking performance, excellent modulation and thermal sizing that reliably stops even the heaviest riders on the most difficult terrain.The calipers, as usual milled from T6 2014 aluminum, are the result of development work with COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis). This makes it possible to reduce weight, improve aesthetics and create the ideal partner for the Tech lever. The sealed bleed nipples allow easier maintenance and the extended fluid outlet simplifies the hose routing. The brake pads can be easily removed upwards and eliminate the need to remove the wheel when changing them. The punto di forza unico of this huge brake caliper is the large internal width, which allows the use of ventilated brake rotors!
