The Renthal Lock-on Traction grips with Ultra tacky compound are designed for maximum control in extreme conditions. The directional pattern features grooves facing forward in the finger area to increase grip when pulling on the handlebar, opposite to those in contact with the palms, which instead optimize grip during braking. The steps are open on the sides to expel mud and there is more rubber on the rear part than on the front. This serves to increase comfort without increasing the diameter.

The second generation of the Renthal Fatbar Carbon 31.8x800mm handlebar is the result of an intensive and in-depth research and development program, carried out with data acquisition systems and with the feedback of top World Cup riders: in fact, it has already earned the status of “preferred handlebar for World Cup downhill” with 3 World Cup championships and a gold medal at the World Championship, and is recognized as one of the most successful race products of all time.
It is the ultimate DH race handlebar which, using a full UD carbon construction with efficient positioning and orientation of the unidirectional carbon fibers, combines the right mix of stiffness, strength and vibration absorption.
The new Fatbar Carbon V2 maintains a market-leading weight: just 225 g have been achieved through a more efficient use of material, eliminating any excess to reduce weight while maintaining the strength, durability and flex characteristics of the original Fatbar Carbon.
The width has been increased up to 800 mm and it is available with 10, 20, 30 and 40 mm rise options to suit any requirement.
