The Traction design alternates specific ridges and grooves for fingers and palm: when pulling the handlebar, the forward-ramped ridges under the fingers increase grip without sacrificing comfort during relaxed rides; when braking hard or tackling steep descents, the backward-angled grooves under the palm improve grip and control. The thickness of the material is optimized: thicker under the palm to absorb shocks and vibrations, thinner under the fingers to maintain a consistent outer diameter and direct bike sensitivity.
