Cleat release is guided by fixed pins for an easier and more consistent release.The mechanism mounted by Hope uses a specific cleat that is not compatible with all other systems. The pedals are sold with 2 cleat options: cleat number 4 offers 4° of float and has a 12° release angle, while cleat number 5 offers 5° of float and has a 13° release angle and requires more release force for aggressive riding.
