Sidewall protection is also an issue on narrow rims with wide tires. Hope is addressing this need with the new Fortus rims. The welded rims are made of 6061 aluminum. The Fortus 30 has greater strength thanks to two additional hollow chambers. The spoke holes are equipped with eyelets for easy wheel building and improved durability.
