The MOZZO HOPE ANTERIORE PRO 5 110 MM 32 HOLES combines 30 years of experience with the needs of current and future cycling technologies. One of the main goals of the Pro 5 hub design was to reduce aerodynamic resistance in the transmission mechanism. To achieve this, it was necessary to improve sealing with a zero-resistance labyrinth seal and an improved ratchet and pawl system, with new springs.
Another important update of the rear hubs is the increase in engagement points (from 44 to 108) thanks to a 6-pawl multi‑pawl hub design, where 3 pawls are engaged at any given time. This makes it possible to achieve the right balance between acceleration, load capacity, resistance, and durability, and in practical terms it provides a sense of speed on the trail while keeping the crank motion at an acceptable level without compromising freehub movement or reliability. The outer shell features a new profile to increase rigidity without adding weight, and the new axle design allows larger bearings to be mounted in a better arrangement to fit the latest torso standards, while increasing load capacity at the same time.
