FOX FORK 2025 29 FLOAT 36 F-S 160 GRIP X FACTORY BOOST LIMITED EDITION PODIUM GOLD On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, Fox colors its forks in gold. The Podium Gold makes a statement and shines in combination with the Kashima coating. Each model comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Bob Fox, as well as a sheet of golden stickers matching the current FOX shocks. Prefer something more discreet? No problem, the classic black or the typical FOX orange are of course still available. The new cartridge portfolio ranges from GRIP X2 (focused on maximum downhill performance), to GRIP X (focused on uncompromising trail performance), to the GRIP SL cartridge (focused on lightweight cross-country performance). The robustness of the casting remains, as does the floating axle in combination with the Kabolt X bolt-on axle. Another highlight is the lower leg bleed ports and the channels integrated into the lower legs to improve lubrication and vent the compressed air in the casting. The proven FLOAT EVOL technology ensures a perfect response. A stiff 36 mm stanchion, exclusive skf seals and closed cartridge guarantee a long service life. So nothing can stand in the way of trail fun in the saddle. GRIP X DAMPINGThis cartridge replaces the classic FIT4 and is the perfect companion for trail and all-mountain use. The goal was to reduce weight and simplify adjustments. It offers a finer response, increased suspension travel and the possibility of completely closing the high-speed compression stage (HSC), thus providing a lockout for climbs. There is also a low-speed compression (LSC) adjustment, as well as low-speed rebound (LSR). An internal floating piston (IFP) to absorb displaced oil is now included in this cartridge. The result is a wider range of use and a strong focus on downhill performance. EVOLThe enlarged negative air chamber improves the fork’s responsiveness. This increases comfort because the breakaway force has been reduced. In addition, a more linear spring rate curve offers better performance, especially in the mid-travel range. FLOAT AIR SPRINGThe FLOAT air spring system reduces breakaway force and offers a highly sensitive fork and full comfort even on small bumps, for every type of rider and at different air pressures. Similar to FLOAT shocks, the FLOAT suspension system is characterized by a positive and a negative air chamber, which balance automatically when riding. Every rider thus enjoys the benefits of correct and precisely balanced air pressure in both air chambers. The progression of the spring rate can be adjusted with our air volume spacers – allowing every rider to set the air spring characteristics exactly. BLEEDERSThe lower leg bleeders allow air pressure equalization with a simple push of a button. Pressure build-up in the lower legs drastically reduces fork performance and prevents full use of the suspension travel, while at the same time the sensitivity and responsiveness of the fork on small bumps suffer. LOWER LEG CHANNELSWhen a fork compresses, the air in the lower legs is also compressed. The more the fork compresses, the greater the increase in pressure. This effect causes the fork to respond more stiffly and may prevent it from using the full suspension travel. The overflow channels help solve this problem by directing the compressed air from the lower part of the fork legs upward, thus reducing the unintentional pressure increase. A further benefit of these channels is that the lubricating oil in the bottom of the lower legs circulates upward during the spring stroke and continuously lubricates the foam rings and bushings. AIR VOLUME SPACERSThe FLOAT air spring on FOX forks and shocks can be adjusted with volume spacers to make the suspension elements more or less progressive. This allows the rider to tune the suspension exactly to their needs. KASHIMA COATINGThe Genuine Kashima Coat for smooth travel is available exclusively from FOX, and the Kashima Coat logo is applied to both stanchions. The distinctive golden Genuine Kashima Coat offers superior overall performance and ensures minimal friction and optimal response with maximum durability. FLOATING AXLEFloating axles are similar to conventional thru-axle systems but offer a significant performance advantage. The special interface ensures perfect alignment of the fork and avoids unwanted friction caused by tension between the stanchions and lower legs. Floating axles ensure a much smoother suspension movement over the entire fork travel and enormously improve response behavior.
