The brakes are the most important safety part of the bicycle. The replacement of any brake component must be carried out by a qualified mechanic who must follow the procedures of the bike manufacturer. Check the wear of the rotor and, if necessary, replace it. Also check the correct functioning of the braking system.Check that the friction surfaces of the pads and rotor are not touched by grease, oli or altro that could reduce the friction properties. Non contaminate the friction surfaces with fluids, oli or grease that greatly reduce the efficiency of the brakes.New pads must brake for at least 500 meters. Braking power has been increased by 30%, and this has been made possible both through a different hydraulic ratio and thanks to a smaller diameter master cylinder. The new seals reduce friction in the hydraulic system: this feature, together with the roller bearings positioned on the lever pivot, allows for a lighter return spring and makes using the brakes less tiring on descents. The hinged clamp further reduces the weight of the brake while the reservoir is positioned at the lower stack height. The V4 calipers have been updated in modo to accommodate hybrid pistons in stainless steel with phenolic insert for movimenti that are even smoother and require less maintenance. The brake is sold with Racing organic compound pads designed for minimum fade and maximum power.
