The Trickstuff Direttissima disc brake impresses with its stability, defined bite point and fine modulation. The four pistons of the C42 brake caliper provide great braking power. In terms of ergonomics, the lever reach offers a wide adjustment range. The brake does its job reliably even with higher system weights, for example on e-bikes, and is characterized by excellent heat management. This is due to the use of particularly temperature-stable Bionol, which, among other things, causes no problems even down to -15 °C, stainless steel pistons and POWER+ insulating brake pads. The clear bite point is created by the finely tuned transmission ratio from the lever to the brake and promotes intuitive operation. Trickstuff optimizes the modulation capability by consistently reducing friction in the system: virtually frictionless roller bearings, PU seals at the contact points, high-pressure Kevlar-reinforced hoses and a lever with 4x bearings all contribute.

The Direttissima has a progressive braking force characteristic, which means that the more you pull the lever, the more the brakes are applied. The feeling of having to pull ever harder on long descents to achieve the same braking power is a thing of the past. Speaking of the lever: it has been designed in such a way that no surface structure can irritate the user while braking and the finger can slide as the lever is pulled in. This means you do not need to twist your hand, and you can maintain a full grip on the handlebar. The two-piece milled clamp compensates for minimal deviations in handlebar circumference. The brake set consists of parts for the front and rear wheel.

• MODULATION: Friction in the system is the enemy of good modulation. The consistent use of roller bearings and special PU seals minimizes the internal friction of the Direttissima, ensuring exceptionally sensitive modulation.
• BITE POINT: Simple operation is not possible if the bite point is as hard as wood or soft and spongy. The key lies in the ratio between the control pistons and the lever kinematics. The increase in the overall transmission ratio compared to the previous model results in a well-defined but pleasantly elastic bite point.
• ERGONOMICS: The Direttissima lever has no corners or edges. It has been shaped with specially made milling heads to ensure braking without pressure points even after kilometers of descents. Holes, grooves or recesses have also been omitted to accommodate the finger’s natural sliding movement. - STABILITY: the Direttissima also stands out for the much-cited stability of the CLEG. The polished stainless steel brake pistons and heat-insulating organic pads reduce heat transfer to the brake fluid and protect the seals. With the matching Trickstuff Dächle brake disc (disc thickness 2.05 mm, available separately) it is possible to further optimize the stability of the Direttissima. - CHARACTERISTIC CURVE
• CURVE: A sophisticated lever mechanism with a knee-lever effect on the Direttissima creates a characteristic curve for braking force. The harder you pull, the greater the transmission ratio – and thus the braking force.
