The Trickstuff Direttissima disc brake convinces with stability, defined bite point, and fine dosing. The four pistons of the C42 brake caliper provide strong braking power. Ergonomically, the lever width offers a wide adjustment range. The brake operates reliably even with higher installation weights, for example on e-bikes, and is characterized by excellent heat management. This is due to the use of Bionol, which is particularly temperature-stable and does not cause problems even down to -15 °C, stainless steel pistons, and POWER+ insulating brake pads. The clear bite point is created by the finely tuned gear ratio from lever to brake and promotes intuitive operation. Trickstuff optimizes dosing capability by constantly reducing friction in the system: virtually frictionless roller bearings, PU seals at contact points, high-pressure Kevlar-coated flexible hoses, and a lever with 4x bearings contribute.

The Direttissima features progressive braking force, meaning the more you pull the lever, the more the brakes are applied. The sensation of having to pull ever harder on long descents to achieve the same braking power belongs to the past. Regarding the lever: it was designed so that no surface structure can irritate the user during braking and so that the finger can glide closer to the lever. This way there is no need to twist the hand, and a full grip on the handlebar can be maintained. The two-piece milling clamp compensates for minor deviations in the handlebar circumference. The brake set consists of parts for the front and rear wheel.

• MODULATION: Friction in the system is the enemy of good modulation. The constant use of roller bearings and special PU seals minimizes internal friction in Direttissima, ensuring exceptionally sensitive modulation.
• GRIP POINT: a simple operation cannot be achieved if the bite point is as hard as wood or soft and spongy. The key lies in the ratio between the commanded pistons and the lever kinematics. The overall transmission ratio increase compared to the previous model results in a well-defined yet pleasantly elastic bite point.
• ERGONOMICS: The Direttissima lever has no corners or edges. It has been shaped with specially milled heads to ensure braking without bite points even after kilometers of descent. Holes, grooves, or recesses have also been omitted to suit the natural finger sliding movement. STABILITY: Direttissima also stands out for the much-cited CLEG stability. The polished stainless steel brake pistons and the organic heat-insulating pads reduce heat transfer to the brake fluid and protect the seals. With the Trickstuff Dachle rotor (2.05 mm rotor thickness, available separately) the stability of the Direttissima can be further optimized. CURVE
