The maximum speed has always been the main goal in the design of the Demos. The frame design provides flexibility in wheel mounting and allows the rider to mount a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5 rear wheel. The frame comes with Öhlins's TTX22M.2 coil shock.
The M5 alloy frame design allows for mounting a 29-inch front wheel, perfect for traction, and a 27.5 rear wheel, more maneuverable. At the same time, it is possible to opt for a 29er also on the rear to accommodate different riding styles or terrain types. The rear dropout is adjustable to ensure that the length of the lowers and the movement height remain tuned, regardless of wheel size.
The Öhlins TTX 22M.2 shock is capable of tackling the most technical DH tracks in the World Cup.

VIBRATION DAMPING: The Future Shock 3.0 cartridge is the new star in the firmament, more adjustable and resilient. Regardless of saddle position, every rider can exploit 20mm of travel, friction-free, between the handlebar stem and the head tube. Hands on the bars stay steady, ensuring a smoother ride with more control to be faster, safer, and more confident.
The low-profile clamp design exposes a larger portion of the seat post to increase its flex. The Pavé seat post 'controls' this movement for optimal vertical-plane vibration absorption. Together these two features form the 'AfterShock' technology, and paired with the Roubaix’s rigid rear triangle, they create a smooth ride without compromising efficiency.
The Roubaix SL8 is the most comfortable road race bike ever tested by our Ride Science Team - reduces handlebar impacts by 53% compared to other bikes in this category. With the Future Shock 3.0 cartridge, the wheel clears the obstacle while the rider remains stable and maintains the line on rough terrain. Normally, the fork flexes backward on impact, causing a loss of speed. It's scientific: more comfortable means faster.
CAPACITY: Roubaix pioneered endurance geometry, giving you the feeling of riding 'inside' the bike, not 'on' the bike. Thus pressure on hands, shoulders, and arms decreases, delivering comfort and confidence on any road.
