GENIE—The magic carpet: The biggest innovation on the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy is GENIE. This patent-pending air spring technology, invented by us, grants every rider's three wishes: the feel and control of a coil spring, better bottom-out prevention than a standard air spring, and an adjustable platform for a playful feel. THE 'GENIE': GENIE combines the linear stiffness of a coil spring that improves control through the "bump zone" with the progressive curve of an air spring at the end of the stroke to prevent bottom-outs. Truly, it's the best of both worlds – coil and air – with extra adjustability. Say goodbye to compromises and welcome the future of suspension.

WHICH BUMP?: With 16.3% better impact force management than a traditional air-sprung shock, GENIE makes the Stumpy 15 perform like a bike with more travel. For example, the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy (with 145mm of rear wheel travel) and our Enduro (170mm travel) both use 101mm of travel to absorb an impact force of 1080 N.

TRACTION GALORE: Extensive field tests show that the Stumpjumper 15 Alloy with GENIE provides 57% better traction than a standard air-sprung shock because GENIE technology offers flexible, coil-like performance that keeps the wheel in contact with the ground for a greater percentage of the time than a typical air spring.

GOODBYE BOTTOM OUT: 39% fewer bottom-out events compared to a standard air spring. In the event of large impacts, you will benefit from the progressive curve in the last 30% of the GENIE travel. Thanks to its two-stage behavior, GENIE reduces the frequency and severity of bottom-out events.

PERFECTED GEOMETRY: The geometry of this bike offers great capability when needed, agility in tight sections, and efficiency on climbs. The ample cockpit centers you on the bike, optimizing traction and cornering control.
